AUBURN, AL (WSFA) Auburn Head Coach Gus Malzahn has confirmed that Montgomery native Jeremy Johnson will start at the quarterback position against Alabama A this Saturday.Malzahn made the announcement on Thursday on his weekly radio show, Tiger Talk.Saturday’s game is Senior Day, and it will be just the second time all season that Johnson has gone under center for the Tigers. The last snap that Johnson took was against the Clemson Tigers on Sept. 3 in the season opener.Malzahn says that quarterback Sean White will not play due to re injuring his shoulder in the loss to Georgia this past weekend.The former Carver Wolverine star has struggled in his time at Auburn.After being named the starter prior to the start of the 2015 season, Johnson threw five touchdowns and six interceptions in the first three games of the season.Following the 45 21 loss to LSU, Johnson was benched and didn’t see any playing time for the next four games.He did take some snaps towards the end of the 2015 season, finishing with five touchdowns and one interception over the course of the final six games.
